Pancho's food is really well done. The food is flavorful and the portions are generous. You must try the Arroz Loco! The only reason I didn't give it a full five stars is because the salsa isn't the greatest. It has too much cilantro for my taste.

Finally got to try this tonight. Everything was delicious and fresh. The only semi-negative thing I can say is the salsa is far too cilantro heavy for my taste. I usually pick around it at other places but doing that isn't even possible here. I hope they tone that down. Also would like to see salsa on the table. It was average busy and even if I wanted a refill I couldn't have gotten one very timely since not seeing our server much. It wasn't a big deal since we weren't in a hurry.

Great food and service. Wine menu is poor but, margarita choices are terrific. The chimi's were delicious. Will go back again soon.

Most of their food was good and had an authentic feel and taste to it. The service was not the best, however. Not friendly or timely with the food. I feel like the building and location are too small for this type of restaurant. It was noisy and cluttered.

That's it Pancho, I'm done. You've disappointed me for the last time. Basta. Great food the first time, horrible the next, better the third, awful the next. It's a coin-flip with you, amigo. Went in last weekend with my wife on a Friday and it was obvious the staff had no idea how to handle a full house. Took 20 minutes before anybody took our order (after we had our drinks, which took too long to begin with) and just went downhill from there. My wife and I both ordered steak dishes (tacos carne asada and steak burrito) and the beef was just awful--bland, grisly, tasted like it was seasoned with only salt and ladled out of a bucket of grease. I cut into my burrito and honestly about 3 tablespoons of translucent beef grease spilled out onto my plate. Awful. My wife's tacos were slightly better, but only because the other toppings helped to mask the taste of the beef. I'm afraid this is adios, Pancho. I'll go with two stars instead of one, since optimistically you might happen to get decent-tasting food when you go in, but in my experience it could be a gamble.

When we moved to the country I thought I had to give up my favorite Mexican place, that was until we saw a sign for Pancho Margaritas, and I decided to just pull in and check it out. I was not disappointed in the least bit, from the very tasty fire roasted salsa to the very last bite of my tacos de carne asada, every bite held a delightful assortment of flavors to entice and tantalize my taste buds.. I can definitely classify this as classic Mexican eating at it's best, and the prices are very reasonable, and you most definitely get your money's worth when you eat at Panchos.. it's a smaller place and they do get busy on a regular basis, you might have to wait a little bit for a table, and you might have to wait a bit for service once you do get seated, but rest assured that you WILL be pleased with the outcome, and you will most definitely enjoy your meal from start to finish. Pancho Margaritas is definitely one of the best if not THE best Mexican place in town, do yourself a favor and check them out, you as well as your taste buds will be most satisfied in all aspects of your dining experience...

This is the place for a hearty appetite. The fanfare of Mexican food was delicious. I had a soft shelled taco and a Poblano pepper no scrimping on the cheese. The taco salad was loaded with meat lettuce tomatoes and gacamole freshly made and they make it from scratch. It was the best so far I have tasted from many different resturants. There desserts are fabulous. The fried ice cream is enough for two people and fried cheese cake was the bomb. The best is the owners are not afraid to come speak with you and make long lasting friend. Genevieve and Pancho are very approachable and really seem to care about their customers needs. Servers are very friendly and quick to bring what you need. Had a wonderful experience everyone this is a the PLACE TO TRY IF YOU LOVE MEXICAN. My new favorite place.

So a friend of mine is good pals with Pancho himself so I got the pleasure of being the first to check in here (I added the business) and posting a picture. Yet I never reviewed! I went on the soft "for people who know people" opening. Super casual night so I can't comment on the service. I can comment on the food. And the margaritas. My friend is in her 50s or 60s and a compete margarita snob. The lady hosts 5 o'clock somewheres and she personally helped the owner perfect that margarita recipe. So while I don't drink margaritas, that tells me they must be good. I had the Pancho burrito. Let me say that it was huge (since Pancho was sitting with us there were so middle school jokes being bounced around about how he named the biggest burrito after himself). The burrito had potatoes in it which I actually really like. Some might not... But I do... Sort of a breakfast burrito dinner burrito hybrid And sometimes large things don't taste nearly as flavorful (papa johns mega cookie I am looking at you!) but this had flavor! So that was a bonus I didn't manage to finish it though I tried to make it my personal goal that evening... But while I eat more than anyone else I know that's my size (5'2" and 120 pounds - but I eat around 2500-3000 calories a day), I couldn't manage. So I brought it home and enjoyed it the next day... Bonus points? It reheated quite well

The food is close to authentic Mexican as you can get in Festus. Portions are very satisfying. Service is a little slow. I'm sure they will get the hang of it. Would definitely done here again

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
